Firing incident near Aluru railway gate in Guntur

A firing incident occurred near Aluru railway gate in Ponnur mandal of Guntur district. GRP police noticed a group of individuals moving suspiciously along the railway track carrying cutters. When police attempted to stop them, the miscreants started pelting stones, escalating the situation.

In response, police opened fire as a precautionary measure. The incident took place during early morning patrolling aimed at preventing railway thefts. The suspects managed to flee from the spot. Ponnur police reached the location and initiated an investigation.
