Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has strongly condemned the firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff and vowed strict action against those responsible. He said the case is being treated with utmost seriousness and that police have identified some suspects based on crucial evidence gathered during the investigation. Fadnavis assured that everyone involved, including the shooters and the masterminds behind the attack, would be brought to justice, regardless of where they are hiding. He also said the state government had approached the Centre regarding efforts to take Lawrence Bishnoi into custody, with the legal process underway.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited Tiger Shroff’s residence on Sunday night to enquire about his health and assure him of the state government’s support. Photographs released from the residence showed dressings around the actor’s shoulder and chest, along with a bandage on his right hand. Tiger’s mother, Ayesha Shroff, was also present during the meeting. Fadnavis added that authorities would coordinate with other states and seek the Centre’s assistance to track down suspects operating from outside Maharashtra or abroad. He also said the government would review security measures for actors in light of the incident.
