A Turkish Airlines Airbus A330 flight arriving from Istanbul experienced a fire incident near the right landing gear while landing at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport. The incident occurred during touchdown, prompting immediate action from airport emergency response teams. Firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control, preventing any escalation.
All passengers were safely evacuated through emergency exits as a precaution. The aircraft was carrying more than 270 passengers at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported. Authorities confirmed that swift coordination between the flight crew and airport emergency services ensured a safe evacuation.
