

Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju reviewed the construction of Young India Integrated Schools, development of educational infrastructure and measures to establish international higher education institutions in Future City. The government aims to establish these schools in phases across all 119 Assembly constituencies. The Chief Secretary directed officials to expedite the works to complete 67 schools by December 2027 and increase the number to 87 by June 2028. Each school is planned over around 26 acres with modern facilities, including sports grounds, hostels, staff quarters, modern kitchens and digital classrooms.
As part of efforts to develop Telangana into an international education hub, Sanjay Jaju directed officials to formulate a dedicated policy for setting up campuses of reputed foreign universities in Future City. Officials informed the meeting that the University of London, the University of Birmingham and four other international universities have expressed interest in establishing campuses there. The policy will cover infrastructure, investments, approvals and academic programmes required for foreign universities. The Chief Secretary also directed officials to prepare a clear action plan in consultation with international universities ahead of the Global Summit.
