A controversy over alleged inappropriate remarks against Yadagirigutta Temple Board member Eshwaramma Yadav has triggered tensions within the Congress party. Her supporters and BC community leaders staged a protest and surrounded the residence of Telangana Youth Congress president Shivacharan Reddy in Mansoorabad. The situation escalated into a clash between both groups, with stones and sticks reportedly used during the confrontation. The attack damaged the windows of Shivacharan Reddy’s house, while several activists sustained injuries. Police intervened and dispersed both groups to control the situation.
The incident has created unrest within the ruling party, drawing the attention of the PCC leadership. PCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud directed the Rangareddy district DCC president to submit a report on the incident. Congress leader Madhu Yashki Goud also expressed concern and said the matter would be brought to the notice of the PCC and AICC. The dispute reportedly began after flex banners arranged during Eshwaramma’s swearing-in ceremony did not feature a photo of senior Congress leader Prabhakar Reddy, leading to allegations and counter-allegations between the two groups.
