End to Years of Waiting...Compensation Credited to Oustees' Accounts

The Andhra Pradesh government has released ₹300 crore as compensation to 2,351 families displaced by the Veligonda Project. The compensation amounts started getting credited to beneficiaries' bank accounts from Sunday morning.

Each displaced family has received compensation ranging between ₹12.50 lakh and ₹12.76 lakh. Residents of the affected villages expressed happiness after receiving the long awaited financial assistance and thanked the government for releasing the compensation package.
