The Boeing 747-200B, which served as the official Air Force One aircraft for the President of the United States, has completed its final flight. The aircraft concluded its service after President Donald Trump returned to the United States from France on Thursday. The iconic jet has been used by multiple US presidents since George H.W. Bush and is now being retired from service.
The White House stated on social media that the aircraft was highly secure and served presidents for decades, while officials noted it remained comfortable despite not being the most modern aircraft. Trump is expected to travel temporarily on a newer Boeing 747 jet gifted by Qatar until two newly ordered presidential aircraft are delivered. The aircraft is also set to be used for upcoming official travel, including a planned visit to Mount Rushmore.
