Elon Musk and Shivon Zilis Part Ways

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis have reportedly ended their relationship. Zilis revealed the split in a post on X, saying the relationship came to an end unexpectedly. She described the transition from being in love to letting go within a week as difficult and expressed her sadness over the separation. She also said that despite the breakup, she continues to care deeply for Musk and hopes they can remain good friends and co-parents to their children.

Zilis and Musk share four children—twins Strider and Azure, daughter Arcadia and son Seldon. Zilis, who has worked with Musk’s technology ventures and previously had ties to OpenAI, is currently a Neuralink executive. In her social media post, she expressed gratitude for the family they built together and wished Musk well. She also shared screenshots of recent conversations between them, including an exchange in which they expressed affection just days before she announced the breakup. Musk has not publicly responded to her post so far.
