The Election Commission of India has announced the schedule for by-elections to three Assembly constituencies in Bihar, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh. Polling will take place on July 30 in Bankipur (Bihar), Manjalpur (Gujarat), and Datia (Madhya Pradesh). The election process will conclude on August 4 after the completion of all formalities.
As per the notification, the last date for filing nominations is July 13, scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on July 14, and candidates can withdraw their nominations until July 16. The Datia Assembly seat in Madhya Pradesh became vacant after former MLA Rajendra Bharti was disqualified under the Representation of the People Act and Article 191(1)(e) of the Constitution.
