The Enforcement Directorate has initiated an investigation into alleged irregularities in the evaluation of answer scripts for the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) Group-1 Mains examination. The case reportedly concerns suspected manipulation in the evaluation process and alleged misuse of funds. The agency has registered an Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR) under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), enabling it to investigate possible financial irregularities connected to the case.
Former APPSC Additional Secretary and former IPS officer PSR Anjaneyulu has been named in the case, along with several others. The ED reportedly initiated its probe based on an FIR registered at the Suryaraopet Police Station in Vijayawada. The investigation is expected to examine the allegations and any potential financial links. The allegations remain subject to investigation, and the registration of a case does not by itself establish guilt.
