ED Intensifies Probe into Viveka Murder Case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has intensified its investigation into the murder case of former minister Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy. As part of the probe, officials are questioning approver Dastagiri and examining an alleged ₹40-crore deal involving Erra Gangireddy, Shivashankar Reddy and Dastagiri. The agency is particularly focusing on bank transactions made before and after Vivekananda Reddy’s murder. Dastagiri appeared for questioning along with his bank statements, which are being examined by the investigators.

The ED is also looking into Dastagiri’s earlier statement to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), in which he reportedly said that he had been promised ₹5 crore. Officials are examining the financial trail and other details in light of the statement he had previously given to the CBI. The latest questioning is part of the ED’s efforts to establish the alleged financial links surrounding the case.
