The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a prosecution complaint against FIITJEE Ltd and its directors, Dinesh Kumar Goel and Monila Goel, over alleged money laundering connected to the suspected misappropriation of fees collected from students. The complaint concerns advance payments made by students who enrolled in coaching programmes for competitive examinations, including the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
According to the ED, FIITJEE collected between ₹2.8 lakh and ₹3.5 lakh per student in advance for coaching programmes lasting two to four years, assuring students that the complete courses would be delivered. However, the agency alleges that faculty members left after their salaries remained unpaid and that coaching centres were abruptly closed without prior notice. The complaint brings the alleged handling of student fees under legal scrutiny. The allegations remain subject to judicial proceedings.
