EC Notices to Voters in Telangana

As part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 process, the Election Commission is likely to issue notices to a large number of voters in Telangana. The Commission froze the state's electoral rolls on June 12, by which time the total number of registered voters stood at 3,38,26,448.

So far, 70.02% of voter mapping has been completed. During the verification process, 89.55 lakh voters have reportedly been identified as suspicious or requiring further verification. Notices may be issued to all such voters, asking them to submit supporting documents. The draft electoral roll is scheduled to be published on July 31.
