Earthquake Havoc in Colombia

A powerful 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia on Monday, causing widespread destruction. The death toll rose to 224 by Tuesday, while more than 1,000 people were reported injured. Several buildings collapsed across the affected region, prompting large-scale search and rescue operations.

Around 1,600 buildings have reportedly been damaged, with rescue teams continuing to search through collapsed structures for survivors. More than 3,000 people are missing, raising fears that the death toll could rise further. Emergency teams, soldiers and volunteers are working to locate people trapped under the rubble.
