Donation Drive in the Name of Bathukamma Celebrations in Dubai

A donation drive has reportedly intensified in Dubai in the name of Bathukamma celebrations. Some Telangana expatriates are approaching prominent personalities in the community, introducing themselves as representatives of different groups and inviting them to large-scale Bathukamma events while seeking financial contributions. Community organisations including the Gulf Telangana Forum and Emirates Telangana Cultural Association are also preparing for Bathukamma celebrations in Dubai this year.

According to the claims, the number of people seeking contributions has increased compared with last year. Some expatriates who were associated with one political group during last year’s celebrations are reportedly approaching people under the banner of another group this year. Along with seeking donations, different groups are also lobbying for positions in associations. Meanwhile, expatriates are meeting political leaders in Hyderabad and inviting them to attend Bathukamma celebrations in Dubai while seeking support for the events.
