The government led by Chief Minister Joseph Vijay has successfully won the trust vote in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, securing support from 144 MLAs. The ruling side reportedly received backing from Congress, Left parties, VCK, IUML, expelled AMMK MLA Kamaraj, and DMDK MLA Premalatha Vijayakanth, strengthening its position in the House.
In a dramatic political development, DMK MLAs walked out before the floor test, leading to intense debates across political circles. The move is being seen as a major turning point in Tamil Nadu politics, with discussions emerging over shifting alliances and the strengthening of the Vijay government’s majority.
