Speaking during the Singareni Bharosa Yatra, Mahabubnagar MP DK Aruna said the Narendra Modi-led Central Government had provided crucial support to Singareni Collieries through key policy decisions. She alleged that the Congress and BRS governments had failed to protect the interests of Singareni and its employees, claiming the organisation had incurred losses of around ₹54,000 crore under previous administrations.
DK Aruna described the Centre's nomination-based allocation of the Tadicherla coal block to Singareni as a turning point, stating that it helped the company avoid an estimated ₹2,500 crore financial burden. She said the coal block contains around 434 million tonnes of reserves, which could generate nearly ₹1.20 lakh crore in revenue for Singareni and around ₹30,000 crore for the government. She also asserted that the Modi government had restored confidence among workers and said Telangana's development would be accelerated through a "double-engine government.
