The disciplinary committee of the Congress has submitted its report on the ongoing issue involving Telangana Minister Konda Surekha and senior leader Chinna Reddy. TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud has forwarded the report to AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, who is expected to place it before the party high command. The matter has now moved to the central leadership for further consideration.
According to Congress sources, the high command may consider disciplinary action against both leaders. The party leadership is also expected to seek the views of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud before taking a final decision. More than 20 Congress MLAs have already reportedly demanded action in the matter, increasing pressure on the party leadership.
