Dilshada Raihan Elected HCU Students’ Union President

Dilshada Raihan, the candidate of the AISA-ASA-DSU-SFI-TSF alliance, has been elected president of the University of Hyderabad (HCU) Students’ Union. Raihan secured 221 votes to win the presidential post. Korra Nithin Chauhan of TSF was elected vice-president with 212 votes, while Pratik of ASA secured 177 votes to become general secretary.

Naresh Podishetti, the presidential candidate of the ABVP-SLVD alliance, secured 197 votes. Around 5,900 students were eligible to vote in the 2026 HCU Students’ Union elections, with 220 candidates contesting nine central posts and 59 school board councillor positions.
