The floral decorations arranged for the annual and Navaratri Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala have received widespread appreciation from devotees, TTD Garden Deputy Director Srinivasulu said. Speaking at a press conference held at the media centre in Ram Bagicha-2 on Sunday, he said nearly 30 donors came forward to support the arrangements. With their contributions, the encouragement of senior officials and the efforts of garden staff, the decorations were completed on a grand scale. Approximately 60 tonnes of flowers, five lakh cut flowers and 80,000 seasonal flowers were used for the celebrations.
Srinivasulu said the floral decorations at the Lord’s temple were changed on the opening day, Garuda Seva day and the seventh day of the festivities. The arrangements at the GNC also attracted considerable attention from devotees. At the fruit and flower exhibition near the Kalyana Vedika, decorations based on 24 different themes were created to spark children’s interest in mythology. He added that the TTD is planning to use artificial intelligence (AI) to further develop and maintain Tirumala’s 34 gardens. Of these, 20 are maintained by donors, while the TTD manages the remaining 14.
