

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan conducted a detailed review of the Godavari Pushkar arrangements and issued key directives focusing on pollution control. During his visit to Rajamahendravaram, he traveled by boat from Pushkar Ghat to Kotilingala Ghat to inspect polluted stretches of the river. He instructed officials to carry out a comprehensive audit of sewage and waste entering the Godavari and to submit a detailed report on measures taken so far. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to organizing the upcoming Pushkaralu with a ‘Pollution-Free Godavari’ theme.
Highlighting that nearly 55 MLD of sewage flows into the river daily, Pawan Kalyan stressed the need for scientific treatment of wastewater. He noted concerns about untreated sewage polluting the river and called for immediate attention. He directed officials to utilize Pushkar funds effectively for long-term benefits, including the construction of modern treatment plants using advanced technology. Emphasizing a clear action plan, he urged authorities to ensure the protection and sustainability of the Godavari river ecosystem.
