The Delhi government has notified a comprehensive Winter Pollution Control Master Plan to tackle seasonal air pollution. The measures will be implemented from November 1, 2026, to February 28, 2027. Vehicles without a valid PUC certificate will be denied fuel, while demolition and civil construction activities will remain banned from November 1, 2026, to January 31, 2027.
As part of the action plan, 50% of employees in government offices will work from home, and parking charges will be doubled from November 1. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta urged citizens to cooperate with the government’s efforts to keep the national capital clean, healthy, and free from severe winter pollution.
