The Delhi High Court has once again heard a petition seeking the removal of allegedly objectionable YouTube videos targeting Shirdi Sai Baba. The court directed the Grievance Appellate Committee (GAC) to consider the complaint seeking removal of the videos from YouTube and take an appropriate decision. Notices were also issued to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Google, seeking their response on the matter.
The Delhi High Court had earlier directed the GAC to decide the issue within a week. The Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust informed the court that although the GAC had recently taken action, some of the videos were still available on YouTube. The court has now sought further responses from the concerned authorities and parties regarding the continued availability of the videos.
