The Dasara festivities at the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Srisailam have reached their final day. On the occasion of Vijayadashami, Goddess Bhramarambika will give darshan to devotees in her natural form, known as Nija Roopa Alankaram, on Tuesday. As part of the celebrations, Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy and Goddess Bhramarambika will be seated on the Nandi Vahanam and receive special worship. The temple authorities have made arrangements for the special rituals to mark the auspicious occasion.
A ceremonial procession of the presiding deities on the Nandi Vahanam will be held, followed by Shami Puja near the Jammi tree. In the evening, the festivities will culminate with a grand Teppotsavam, or float festival, for the deities in the temple Pushkarini. The float festival will mark the conclusion of the Dasara celebrations at Srisailam. Devotees are expected to visit the temple in large numbers to witness the Vijayadashami rituals and seek the blessings of the presiding deities. The temple administration is making the necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the celebrations.
