

Dasara Sharannavaratri celebrations will be held across the country from October 11 to 20, with major Devi temples and Shakti Peethas preparing for the festivities. The Sri Kanaka Durga temple on Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada is also gearing up for the celebrations. This year, Goddess Kanaka Durga will appear before devotees in 10 different alankaras over 10 days. The festivities will begin on October 11 with the Bala Tripura Sundari Devi alankaram, followed by Gayatri Devi on October 12, Annapurna Devi on October 13, Maha Chandi Devi on October 14 and Lalitha Tripura Sundari Devi on October 15. On October 16, coinciding with Moola Nakshatram, the goddess will appear as Saraswati Devi, followed by Mahalakshmi Devi on October 17.
On October 18, the occasion of Durga Ashtami, the goddess will appear as Durga Devi, while on October 19, Maha Navami, she will be adorned as Mahishasura Mardhini Devi. The celebrations will conclude on October 20 with the Rajarajeshwari Devi alankaram on Vijayadashami. A grand Hamsa Vahana Teppotsavam will also be conducted for Goddess Kanaka Durga on the Krishna River on the evening of Vijayadashami. A large number of devotees are expected to gather to witness the event. Devotees consider seeking the blessings of Kanaka Durga during the Navaratri festivities highly auspicious.
