Dalmia Cement Expands Plant in Kadapa

Andhra Pradesh IT and Education Minister Nara Lokesh laid the foundation stone for the expansion of Dalmia Bharat Cement's second plant at Chinnakomarla in Myalavaram mandal of Kadapa district. The company will invest ₹3,100 crore for the Line 2 expansion project. Dalmia Bharat Limited MD and CEO Puneet Dalmia and company representatives welcomed the minister during his visit.

With the expansion, the plant's clinker production capacity will increase from 2.5 million tonnes to 6.1 million tonnes, while cement production capacity will rise from 3.6 million tonnes to 9.6 million tonnes annually. The project is expected to create employment opportunities for around 1,000 people. Several state ministers, MLAs, officials, and company representatives participated in the foundation ceremony.
