A criminal case has been registered against Mohsin Khan, son-in-law of senior Congress leader Shabbir Ali and son of former Hyderabad Police Commissioner A.K. Khan, following allegations of cheating a film producer out of ₹50 lakh. The complaint was filed by film producer Venkata Anish Reddy, who is currently producing the movie Maharagni and resides in Manikonda, Hyderabad. According to the complaint, Mohsin Khan and Tabrez allegedly approached him at the Sun Light office in Jubilee Hills, promising to arrange investors for his film project.
Believing their assurances, Anish Reddy reportedly paid them ₹50 lakh. However, after receiving no response regarding the promised investment, he visited the Sun Light office seeking a refund. He alleged that Mohsin Khan instead had bouncers assault him. Based on Anish Reddy's complaint, the police have registered a criminal case against Mohsin Khan and Tabrez and have launched an investigation into the matter.
