CRIF, ROB Works Must Be Accelerated - Komatireddy

Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has directed officials to speed up the construction of CRIF roads, Setu Bandhan projects and Railway Over Bridges (ROBs) across the state. During a review meeting with R&B officials at the Secretariat on Saturday, he assessed the progress of various works and stressed the need for better constituency-wise implementation. So far, 316 road projects covering 3,918 km have been sanctioned at an estimated cost of ₹5,159 crore. In 2025–26, works covering 422.36 km were taken up at a cost of ₹868 crore. He instructed officials to complete high level bridges and ROBs within the stipulated deadlines and start the Miryalaguda and Nandi Pahad bridge works immediately.

The minister also directed officials to complete the solar car parking project at the Secretariat by December 2026. The project is being taken up at an estimated cost of ₹26.81 crore. According to the minister, the solar parking facility is expected to generate around 90,000 units of electricity and help reduce the Secretariat’s monthly power bill by about 16%. He urged officials to work more efficiently at the field level and ensure timely completion of all projects.
