CPI Leader Narayana Congratulates RTC Workers on Employees’ Union Victory

CPI leader K. Narayana congratulated Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) workers who contributed to the victory of the AITUC-affiliated Employees’ Union in the union recognition elections. He also appreciated the allied labour organisations that stood together with the Employees’ Union during the election process.

Narayana alleged that the Congress party had turned a workers’ union election, which he said should have remained above party politics, into a political contest between the Congress and the communists. He criticised the Congress for calling on voters to defeat the communists, describing it as an attempt to politicise the election. He urged the Employees’ Union and its allied labour organisations to preserve their unity and strengthen the movement to safeguard workers’ rights in the future.
