Contractors Protest Outside Deputy CM Residence

Contractors staged a protest outside the residence of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, demanding the release of pending bills for works undertaken under the Jal Jeevan Mission. Wearing placards around their necks, the protesters raised slogans urging Pawan Kalyan to intervene and resolve their issues. The protest continued from noon until evening.

The contractors called off their agitation after senior officials assured them that the pending dues would be released in three instalments by September 20. The protesters said they were hopeful that the promised payments would provide relief and help them continue the ongoing development works.
