Container Lorry Carrying Cars Gutted in Massive Fire on NH-44

A massive fire accident occurred on National Highway-44 near Toopran on Thursday afternoon. A container lorry transporting new cars from Nagpur to Kakinada suddenly caught fire after flames erupted from the vehicle’s engine. The incident took place near Nagulapalli bridge, and the entire lorry was engulfed in flames within minutes.

All eight cars loaded inside the container were completely destroyed in the fire. Locals immediately alerted the fire department, while police officials rushed to the spot and controlled traffic on the highway. According to CI Venkata Raja Goud, the intense summer heat may have caused the accident. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
