Telangana BJP president N. Ramachander Rao alleged that the Congress government had failed to fulfil several promises made in its Kamareddy BC Declaration. He said the government had also forgotten its promise to name Jangaon district after Sardar Sarvai Papanna. On the occasion of Sarvai Papanna Goud’s birth anniversary on Tuesday, Ramachander Rao paid floral tributes to his portrait at the BJP state office along with MP Eatala Rajender, former Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, MLC Malka Komaraiah and state OBC Morcha president Anand Goud.
Ramachander Rao said the BJP’s sustained efforts had played a key role in getting a statue of Sarvai Papanna installed in Hyderabad. He reiterated the party’s demand to rename Jangaon district as ‘Sardar Sarvai Papanna Jangaon’. He called for the government to honour Sarvai Papanna Goud’s legacy and implement the promises made to the BC community.
