Radhika Apte has shared her candid views on marriage, saying she has never believed strongly in the traditional concept of it. Speaking about her relationship with British musician Benedict Taylor, whom she married in 2012, the actress revealed that their decision to marry was driven by practicality rather than social customs. According to Radhika, getting married made the visa process easier, enabling the couple to live together without immigration-related complications.
The actress emphasized that love and commitment should be the foundation of a relationship, not legal documents or societal expectations. While she respects those who consider marriage important, she believes a marriage certificate does not define the strength of a relationship. Known for choosing unconventional roles in films such as Andhadhun, Parched, Raat Akeli Hai and the series Sacred Games, Radhika continues to express her independent views on personal and social issues, encouraging people to define happiness on their own terms.
