Coimbatore Police Chase Gutka Smugglers for 40 Km

Coimbatore police launched a 40-kilometre chase to catch suspected gutka smugglers. When officers tried to stop the suspects, they allegedly pushed the police personnel aside and fled in their car. In a dramatic move, head constable Velmurugan reportedly jumped onto the vehicle and held on to it as the car continued to speed away.

The chase continued for nearly 40 kilometres before police intercepted the vehicle near Tiruppur. Officers surrounded the car and arrested three suspects. The incident has drawn attention after the head constable reportedly remained on the moving vehicle during the pursuit.
