

A shocking incident in Coimbatore has triggered widespread outrage after a 10-year-old girl who went missing while visiting a local shop was found murdered. Police have arrested two suspects, Karthik and Mohan Raj, in connection with the case. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay strongly condemned the incident, calling it inhuman, and assured swift investigation and strict punishment for the accused. TVK MLA NM Kumar visited the victim’s family at the hospital and assured justice.
The incident has sparked a major political controversy across the state. The DMK criticized the law and order situation, claiming a rise in crime within days of the new government. Opposition leader Udhayanidhi Stalin questioned women’s safety in the state, while BJP leader Narayanan Tirupathi blamed the previous DMK government for weakening law and order. The girl from Kannampalayam area went missing on Thursday evening and was later found dead in a pond. Police investigation revealed she was taken on a bike, leading to the arrest of two suspects who are now being interrogated.
