CM Revanth Reddy Orders Magisterial Inquiry into Nurse Murder Incident

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has taken serious note of the recent nurse murder incident at a private hospital in Tukkuguda on the outskirts of Hyderabad. He directed officials to conduct a comprehensive magisterial inquiry into all aspects of the incident, including the circumstances that led to the crime, security arrangements at the accommodation where the victim was staying and any possible negligence by the concerned institution.

The Chief Minister instructed senior police officials to complete the investigation in a thorough and time-bound manner. Forensic reports, technical evidence and other crucial investigative material should be collected at the earliest and a comprehensive chargesheet should be filed without delay. He also directed senior officers to closely monitor the progress of the case.

CM Revanth Reddy ordered officials to initiate necessary steps for a fast-track court trial to ensure speedy justice for the victim’s family. He called for effective coordination between the Law Department, Police Department and Prosecution Department so that there are no unnecessary delays in the judicial process. He also directed officials to ensure effective prosecution so that the accused faces punishment as per law.

The Chief Minister assured the victim’s family of complete government support. Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Seethakka have already visited and consoled the family. The government has provided financial assistance and sanctioned an Indiramma house. Officials were also directed to identify and rectify systemic shortcomings that may have contributed to the incident.
