Telangana Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy met Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Lok Bhavan and invited him to attend a special programme being organised on June 12 to mark the reopening of schools in the state. During the event, students will participate in a collective pledge encouraging them to stay away from tobacco, alcohol, and narcotic substances and to behave as responsible citizens.
The Telangana Government decided to organise the large-scale anti-drug pledge programme following suggestions earlier made by Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Respecting the Governor’s proposal, the state government is preparing to conduct a massive awareness event involving students as part of its anti-drug campaign.
