CM Revanth Reddy Highlights 1,000 Days of Governance

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said his government had taken several transformative decisions during its 1,000 days in office to steer the state towards development. Speaking at a public meeting held after inaugurating the new high-level bridge across the Musi River at Musarambagh, he highlighted initiatives for farmers, women, youth, students and government employees. He said the government had worked to stabilise the state’s finances and resolve long-pending issues. Revanth Reddy highlighted the regular payment of salaries to government employees, settlement of retirement benefits, restoration of health security cards and compassionate appointments for eligible families of deceased RTC employees. He also said 72,000 government jobs had been filled in two years and several welfare measures had been implemented for students and the unemployed.

The Chief Minister said the government had spent substantial amounts on farmer welfare, including paddy procurement, investment assistance under Rythu Bharosa, loan waivers and free power. He highlighted women-centric initiatives such as free bus travel, support for self-help groups, free electricity up to 200 units and Indiramma housing. He also listed healthcare and social initiatives, including the upcoming 2,000-bed Osmania General Hospital and the naming of TIMS hospitals after prominent Telangana personalities. Revanth Reddy said the government had addressed the long-pending SC categorisation issue and conducted a caste census. He explained that Telangana was being planned as three economic regions: a core urban region within the Outer Ring Road, a peri-urban region between the ORR and Regional Ring Road, and a rural-agricultural region beyond the Regional Ring Road. He urged people to support the government’s efforts to take Telangana from what he described as destruction towards development.
