

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy extended his heartfelt Bathukamma greetings to women across the state. He expressed his wish that women celebrate the nine-day festival with enthusiasm, music and traditional dances, from Engili Pula Bathukamma to Saddula Bathukamma. He described the festival as a distinctive celebration of Telangana, where women arrange colourful floral stacks and worship Goddess Gauramma as an expression of their reverence for nature.
The Chief Minister said Bathukamma reflects Telangana’s community spirit, unity and tradition of sharing life’s joys and hardships. He noted that the festival showcases the state’s cultural heritage, women’s solidarity and social values, while serving as a symbol of Telangana’s self-respect and traditions passed down through generations. Revanth Reddy also highlighted the state government’s commitment to environmental protection in keeping with Telangana’s nature-centred cultural traditions. He wished that Bathukamma celebrations would bring happiness to every household and that people across the state would celebrate the festival in peace and prosperity.
