During the visit, the Chief Minister personally drank a glass of freshly treated desalinated water, demonstrating his confidence in the plant's purification process and the quality of drinking water being supplied to the public.
During the inspection, Vijay examined key treatment infrastructure, including reverse osmosis systems, filtration units, and seawater intake facilities. He instructed officials to maintain the highest quality standards and ensure an uninterrupted supply of safe drinking water to residents. By personally consuming the treated water, the Chief Minister sought to reassure the public about the reliability and safety of desalination technology while reaffirming his government's commitment to strengthening climate-resilient water infrastructure for the state's long-term needs.
