CM Inspects Meeralam Bridge Works

The Chief Minister inspected the ongoing construction of the suspension bridge over Meer Alam Tank. Officials explained the progress of the works through a photo presentation. The CM directed officials to complete the project within the stipulated deadline. He also instructed them to take measures to prevent sewage from entering the tank and to widen the nala so that floodwater can flow smoothly from the tank into the Musi River.

The Chief Minister further directed officials to prepare a comprehensive plan to develop Meer Alam Tank as a tourist destination. He suggested designing facilities for water sports and developing the islands located within the tank. Given the tank’s proximity to the airport, he stressed the need for attractive landscaping and visitor-friendly facilities to make the area a prominent tourism spot in Hyderabad.
