

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to ensure the completion of irrigation projects within the stipulated deadlines. On Monday, the Chief Minister conducted a comprehensive review meeting on major irrigation projects, including the Polavaram Project. Water Resources Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu, Chief Secretary Sai Prasad, and senior government officials participated in the meeting to discuss the progress of ongoing works and future action plans.
During the review, Chandrababu emphasized the need to involve the public and irrigation associations in water management activities. He instructed officials to prepare short-term, medium-term, and long-term strategies for the effective utilization of groundwater resources. The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of strengthening irrigation infrastructure to support agriculture and ensure sustainable water management across the state.
