Leaders of the Cakro Janata Party (CJP), who are demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, are scheduled to visit Delhi’s Parliament Street Police Station today. They are expected to request the police to allot a date for their proposed protest rally. The party plans to organise the demonstration on a date approved by the police. The move comes as CJP continues to press its demand for Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation.
Meanwhile, CJP has already announced that it will continue its agitation until Gyanesh Kumar steps down from his position. Against this backdrop, the party’s efforts to obtain permission for the protest rally have gained significance. The date and other arrangements for the demonstration are expected to become clear once the police respond to the request. The proposed protest is likely to draw further attention to the party’s demand and the ongoing political developments in Delhi.
