A major political controversy has erupted after a security breach in the JEE Advanced 2026 results portal allegedly exposed personal data of nearly 200,000 students, including names, phone numbers, and photographs. The Croc Janata Party strongly criticized the incident, calling it evidence of poor digital infrastructure and governance in the country’s education system. The party demanded the immediate dismissal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, accusing the government of failing to ensure accountability and data protection.
Party spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka said the incident raises serious concerns about cyber security standards in examination systems. He also noted that a teenage cyber security researcher had identified and reported the vulnerability. Meanwhile, the issue comes amid heightened tensions over examination irregularities, including alleged paper leaks and cancellations. In a separate tragic incident, a student from Madhya Pradesh allegedly died by suicide in Nagpur after being distressed by NEET exam uncertainty, with political leaders including Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal calling for justice and systemic reforms.
