Civil Supplies Department Under Scanner with Statewide Inspections

The Andhra Pradesh Civil Supplies Department has constituted a special vigilance team comprising 12 senior officials to conduct statewide inspections. The committee will closely monitor paddy procurement operations, CMR (Custom Milled Rice) deliveries, and ensure transparency in the supply chain system across the state.

The vigilance team will carry out surprise checks at ration shops, PDS stock points, LPG agencies, and petrol bunks. It will also monitor welfare schemes such as Deepam-2, Anganwadi centers, hostels, and the mid-day meal program. The committee will submit detailed reports on any violations directly to the state government.
