Singer Chinmayi Sripaada has expressed concern over the health of social activist Sonam Wangchuk, urging that someone persuade him to end his hunger strike before it is too late. In a post on X, she said many students affected by the NEET controversy have already been exhausted by repeated paper leaks and re-examinations, suggesting that many may no longer be actively focused on Wangchuk's ongoing protest. She also alleged that those in positions of power had shown little concern over his fast.
Chinmayi further criticized the government, alleging corruption within the system and expressing disappointment over the handling of the situation. She concluded her post with the message, "What a beautiful country in the hands of rogues. God save my country." Her remarks have since sparked fresh debate on social media, with some users supporting her concerns over Wangchuk's health, while others disagreed with her criticism of the government.
