A. Revanth Reddy held a video conference with district collectors regarding paddy procurement and instructed officials to ensure there are no delays in loading and transportation. He directed collectors to identify locally available transport operators and utilize their services efficiently. The Chief Minister emphasized that farmers should receive receipts immediately after the paddy is loaded to prevent irregularities in the name of deductions and quality disputes.
He also instructed officials to use tractors and alternative vehicles in areas facing a shortage of lorries. In view of unseasonal rains, Revanth Reddy directed authorities to provide tarpaulins to farmers to protect paddy from damage. He suggested preparing permanent solutions to avoid losses during unexpected weather conditions and asked officials to appoint special officers at mandal level to alert farmers based on weather department forecasts. The Chief Minister further ordered the appointment of responsible officers at every IKP center and rice mill for close monitoring, stating that collectors would be held accountable for any issues arising during procurement operations.
