Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu participated in the NTR Bharosa pension distribution programme in Repalle, Bapatla district, and said he has been taking part in the pension distribution on the first of every month. He said officials and public representatives are serving people on the first day of every month and reiterated that he believes a Chief Minister should work as a common man while understanding people’s problems. The state government is focusing on providing economic security to the poor and resolving land-related disputes, he said.
Naidu claimed that his government is working to strengthen the state’s economy while continuing welfare programmes. He said the government has been providing pensions despite financial challenges and is implementing initiatives aimed at improving the living standards of economically weaker sections. He also criticised the previous administration, alleging that it damaged state institutions and created financial difficulties. Naidu said the government is working towards rebuilding the state with the support of the Centre and described the Centre and state governments as a “double-engine” government focused on governance and development.
