Chandrababu Sets Swarnandhra 2047 Goal on Independence Day

Amaravati: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu addressed the 80th Independence Day celebrations in Amaravati and called upon people to work collectively towards building a developed India and Swarnandhra 2047. Recalling the sacrifices of freedom fighters, he said the national flag represents India’s freedom, self-respect and unity. He urged citizens to adopt the spirit of “My Country, My Responsibility” and contribute to nation-building through their respective roles. Naidu said the state has set a clear vision for a healthy, wealthy and happy Andhra Pradesh, with priorities including poverty eradication, employment, skill development, water security, agri-tech, logistics, energy efficiency, quality products, cleanliness and deep technology.

The Chief Minister said Andhra Pradesh had overcome several challenges since its formation and the 2014 bifurcation. He claimed that the previous government left the state with a heavy financial burden and alleged that the state suffered setbacks during the previous five years. Referring to the 2024 elections, he said the alliance of the TDP, BJP and Jana Sena received a historic mandate from the people and took the responsibility of rebuilding the state. Naidu highlighted the Centre’s support for projects including Polavaram, Amaravati, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and the railway zone. He said the state’s growth rate has improved after efforts to restore various systems and added that the government has spent significant amounts on welfare and development during its tenure. Naidu called for decentralised development across Visakhapatnam, Amaravati and Tirupati economic regions and urged people to work together to achieve the Swarnandhra 2047 vision.
