

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan will visit the Proddatur constituency in Kadapa district today. They will launch works under Jal Jeevan Mission 2.0–Amarajeevi Jaladhara with an estimated outlay of Rs 30,156 crore. The programme aims to provide a permanent solution to drinking water problems in rural areas and ensure safe drinking water through household tap connections.
As promised during the elections, the coalition government is set to begin the programme to provide piped drinking water to rural households from Proddatur. The initiative is expected to provide tap water connections to 27 lakh rural families across the state. After unveiling a pylon at Kothapalli village, Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan will address a public meeting.
